I write with regard to the Annual General Meeting of our union scheduled for the Sunday, the 27^th of  February 2022.

The AGM will  commence at  15:00 Hrs  in :

The election of office bearers is a core activity at the AGM. In this matter , the procedures accepted , unanimously,  by the committee meeting held on the 10^th of October 2021 (Agenda item 2 of that meeting ) will be adhered to . The essence  of this unanimous decision was that  election to all posts will be by confidential ballot whenever there obtains  any competition at all for any of the posts . The nomination paper attached hereto is in accordance with that unanimous decision.

There has been , in the past, so much misunderstanding of the process. Please observe the following in the process of submitting  nominations :  

1.  The completed nomination forms are to be sent to the secretary by and only by those who seek to serve in a particular post . Accordingly, the secretary should and will receive only as many nominations as there are aspiring candidates . 
2. THE ASPIRING CANDIDATE ALONE SHOULD INITIATE THE SUBMISSION OF THE NOMINATION FOR A PARTICULAR  POST AND STATE  THE NAMES OF THOSE MEMBERS (*) WHO HAVE CONSENTED TO BE THE  PROPOSER AND SECONDER FOR THE CANDIDATE .  

 PROPOSERS AND SECONDERS ARE NOT TO SUBMIT ANY FORMS AT ALL  

(*) The proposer and the seconder stated must be invitees  to the AGM 2022 – it is the responsibility of the candidate who submits a form to the secretary to ensure that this consideration is applicable to the proposer and the seconder .

Where needed , all ballot papers will be prepared in accordance with the decisions of  the committee meeting held on the 10^th of October 2021.

Please ensure that all  applications are sent to reach me by the Sunday the 06^th of February at the very latest .
